Back to topIn Guide to the Bodhisattvas Way of Life, Shantideva says: Contemplating again and again in Advice from Atishas Heart he says: Distracting enjoyments have no essence therefore sincerely practice giving.
in Joyful Path of Good Fortune Geshe-la says:Since this human life is wasted by indulging in distractions, now is the time to practice concentration. You will have to depart leaving everything behind, so do not be attached to anything. A child once filled a bowl with dust and offered it to Buddha Kashyapa, imagining the dust was gold. As a result of his pure offering the child was reborn as the wealthy King Ashoka. Likewise, if we offer the world as a Pure Land filled with exquisite objects and precious symbols we shall experience a result in accordance with our offering. All of Geshe-las books are available for purchase from the Mahasiddha Centre, alternatively come and make use of our library and enjoy some inner peace and a nice cuppa tea. |
